Serving Veterans at The Bridge The Bridge provides veterans essential life-sustaining care every day. With The Bridge serving as the primary entry point for persons experiencing homelessness, veterans typically arrive asking for immediate shelter at The Bridge Homeless Assistance Center.

At intake, veterans receive day services including showers, storage, hygiene kits, laundry services, meals and shelter.

Ultimately, The Bridge works to place veterans in appropriate housing—affordable or supportive-- through its collaborative relationships with behavioral health and primary care providers and Veterans Affairs. The Bridge does not receive any funding from the Veterans Administration.

The Help the Homeless Walk & 5K serves as the public kick-off of Metro Dallas Homeless Alliance’s Help the Homeless Week, November 11th – 17th. The week includes several events and activities to raise awareness and financial support for The Bridge and concludes with a breakfast on November 17th at Dallas’ new Omni Convention Center Hotel.
