Must a participant raise a minimum amount to participate?

No, just the registration fee.

 

May I ride DART to the event?

Yes, please visit DART to check schedules and routes.

 

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, as long as the dog is leashed and current on vaccinations. All dogs must be current on their shots. Participants must pick up after their pets.

 

Will there be food available?

Yes, paid participants can access the Walker's Lounge for snacks & water. In addition, area restaurants will be on site to provide "food tastings."

 

Where do I park?

Convenient parking is adjacent to the Fair Park Band Shell, with access from Gate 6. There is a $10 parking fee. Cash only.

 

We also encourage you to ride DART. Check their website for schedules and routes.

 

How long is the walk?

Approximately two miles.

The Help the Homeless Walk & 5K serves as the public kick-off of Metro Dallas Homeless Alliance’s Help the Homeless Week, November 11th – 17th. The week includes several events and activities to raise awareness and financial support for The Bridge and concludes with a breakfast on November 17th at Dallas’ new Omni Convention Center Hotel.
